Together as One was purely founded with a passion to bring families together as a community
2015. The year I gave birth to my son. I had 14 months of maternity leave and I couldn't wait to meet new mummies and experience different activities with him. I booked myself onto every class possible from baby massage, sensory, yoga, swimming, you name it, my son had a place. I would turn up on that first session, full of nerves and a sick feeling in my stomach. What if my little boy screamed the whole time? What if he needed feeding? What was I doing? Perhaps I should just go home. Needless to say this happened with every group I signed us up to, I felt so out of place within that first session I never returned. For some reason I felt I just didn't fit in.
It was at this point I realised that there really lacked a non-judgemental community feel within many baby and toddler groups. The regimental class times didn't always fit in with our routine and there was certainly never an option to bring my husband along either. And by the time I had my second child, I stop searching for a class that offered flexibility, and a foundation of support in a non-judgmental manner. It didn't exist, or perhaps I was simply asking too much?
It was then Together as One was born.
Together as One’s vision is to create and support a united community with no prejudice, no criticism and no stigma.
The creation of Together as One was never a business idea that was developed and created. It was a passion that run's much deeper than that. Why are the majority of baby classes for mother’s or father’s alone? Why can’t these be a place of unity together? Why can’t siblings come along too and enjoy these moments of bonding too? After all we are only going to be taking what we learn back home to them anyway. Are we not just creating a barrier? Segregating families when families should be about unity never felt right to me. Together as One offer’s not just singular parent classes, but classes where siblings can attend, whether that be in the comfort of your own home, in our home studio or perhaps online. Besides this, we believe that there is no such thing as one class fits all. That's why here at Together as One we offer a multitude of classes to suit your needs and wants. Whether it be a one to one class virtually or access to our online library there is a class for everyone.
